About the Speaker:
Mr. Adam Richardson is a Partner in the Commodities department of HFW's Singapore office with a focus on commodities and shipping matters. Adam advises on both contentious (particularly international arbitration, both ad hoc and arbitrations under the LMAA, GAFTA, FOSFA, ICC, SIAC and UNCITRAL Rules) and non-contentious matters such as physical commodities contracts, structured trade contracts, shipping arrangements (including charterparties and transhipment contracts) and project documentation for use in shipping and offshore projects. Adam has been ranked as one of Singapore's top 20 most promising legal luminaries aged under 40 (Singapore Business Review, 2018). He is a qualified lawyer in England and Wales.

About the Chairperson:
Ms. Rebecca Andersen is the Head of Legal of Hengyi Industries International Pte. Ltd., a commodities trading, refinery and petrochemical company based in Singapore. Its holding company owns a world class Refinery and Petrochemical plant in Brunei. Rebecca advises on all legal issues in commodities trading transactions involving all oil refined and petrochemical products, shipping, treasury, Sanctions (particularly those imposed by OFAC, USA) and derivatives (including ISDA master agreement). She has extensive experience in dispute resolution, particularly in the areas of arbitration and litigation. Rebecca started her career practising as a litigation and corporate lawyer with the Global Ernst & Young Law and thereafter became a corporate in-house lawyer in the Energy and Commodities Industry till present. Rebecca has since been a General Counsel in a United States listed company and various public listed companies in Hong Kong, China, Singapore and Malaysia. |
